Manchester band prepare comeback

Manchester group The Courteeners have confirmed details of the first single from their forthcoming second album.
The Courteeners were formed by a group of renegades on the Manchester open mic circuit. Despite their subsequent success, lead singer Liam Fray often takes to the stage on his own echoing the band's origins.
Crafting a series of tales talking of the frustrations of daily life, debut album 'St Jude' was an enormous success. Reaching the upper echelons of the British charts it turned The Courteeners into stars.
Touring to widespread acclaim, The Courteeners took time off last year to work on new material. Liam Fray retreated to the rehearsal room to reflect on the massive changes in his life, crafting new material.
Now fans are to get their first glimpse of the new album. Titled 'Falcon' the band's second long player is due to be preceded by the single 'You Overdid It Doll' on February 15th.
An anthemic return by the band the forthcoming single features some decidedly cheeky lyrics from Liam Fray. Releasing a statement to fans the singer promises something different for 2010.
"We're about to take off, we're stretching our wings for pastures new, the time is right" the Manchester singer claimed.
The Courteeners are due to follow the release of 'Falcon' with a lengthy British tour. The hard working band have spent some time on the road, building up a fan base the old fashioned way.
