Due to illness

Clinic have been dealt a blow after being forced to cancel an upcoming British tour.

Clinic have never had the best of luck. Donning surgical masks the band make precise incisions on the bloated corpse of British rock music, pushing indie into thrilling and unexplored areas.

Yet the Liverpool band have barely made a prick on the mainstream, despite over a decade of making music. Whenever Clinic have come close to achieving recognition, something comes along and rips it out of their grasp.

Which is perhaps how they like it.

Releasing their new album 'Bubblegum' earlier this month, Clinic prepared to launch a lengthy British tour. However those dates have now been postponed, with the band coming down with an unspecified illness.

Releasing a short statement, Clinic have apologised to fans for any inconvenience. Refunds for all tickets are available at the point of purchase.

Clinic are set to re-schedule most of the tour dates. The Liverpool band had been due to perform at the Welsh showcase event SWN tomorrow night (October 21st) but of course this cannot be re-arranged.

Other cancelled dates include shows in Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and more. A London show at The Village Underground has joined the list of postponed dates, with final performance in Leeds on October 29th completing the casualties.

Clinic have postponed the following shows:

21 Cardiff Clwb Ifor Bach
22 Manchester Deaf Institute
23 Liverpool Static Gallery
25 Stockton-On-Tees The Georgian Theatre
26 Glasgow Stereo
27 Nottingham Bodega
28 London Village Underground
29 Leeds The Cockpit
