Clash Saturday Social Hosts Micachu

Brilliant Londoners headline in February...

In a word: sweet.

Not content with confirming the line-up of one amazing free gig in 2009 – that’ll be the first Clash Saturday Social of the year, then, held on January 31 – we’ve gone all out and booked our second bill.

Headlining the second Clash Saturday Social – held at the weekly RoTa afternoon at London’s Notting Hill Arts Club on February 28 – is the amazing Micachu. The band – Mica, Raisa and Marc – support Late Of The Pier through January and February, and will call into the Clash Saturday Social a few weeks after the release of their debut album ‘Jewellery’ and a few before they jet off to Texas for South By Southwest.

We’re talking quite the coup here, kids, so you’d have to be pretty dizzy-silly to miss it.

We profiled Micachu as part of our Nine For 2009 series here on ClashMusic.com, so click HERE to read the interview. We’re so, so, so excited.

Joining Micachu on the day will be The Old Romantic Killer Band (previous Album of the Week recipients for their ‘The Swan With Two Necks’ debut – read our review HERE), Favours For Sailors (who gave us a great Track of the Day in December – click HERE to download it), and the truly wonderful Left With Pictures.

Expect more information on the event and participating bands in the next few weeks, but for now here are the basics for the upcoming Clash Saturday Social afternoons...
