Clash have teamed up with London venue Barfly for a special show starring Mariachi El Bronx.

Spending the summer hosting stages at events from RockNess to The Big Chill, Clash is set to settle back down into our London office with a a series of special shows. Re-launching our events, the brand spanking new Clash Presents... night is hosted in co-operation with London's award winning Barfly venue.

Situated in the heart of Camden, the show will mix Mariachi El Bronx with some surprises along the way.

Taking place on June 28th, Clash Presents... gets under way with a set from Los Angeles group Mariachi El Bronx. In reality punk types The Bronx with a nifty costume change, the Mexican flavoured band emerged last year.

Inspired by the Mariachi bands they would see on street corners, the Los Angeles punks switched hardcore riffs for acoustic laments. Buoyed by the addition of a brass section, Mariachi El Bronx released their debut album last year.

A cult sensation, the band's new direction was firmly adopted by their fan base. Speaking to ClashMusic last year, singer Matt Caughthran revealed that he has rarely fallen so in love with a project.

"I was super inspired, the most inspired I’ve probably been in my whole life. It’s so completely out of body, just that feeling you love when you create things. When you’re a musician, an artist you just crave that type of energy and excitement so it was definitely awesome to have."

Mariachi El Bronx are set to play Clash Presents... at the Barfly on June 28th.
