A new live event...

Here at Clash we’re launching a new series of varied parties in east London. At The Shacklewell Arms we’ll be showcasing everything from digital dance heroes burning a hole in your brain, the next indie icons surfing our brows, some seriously sizzling beats, and more contemplative moments. Come join us and dance away your days.
Our inaugural night on 12th July is to be headlined by Dublin four-piece Funeral Suits. Despite their dour name these guys will have you living every moment of life to the full while you can. Come and move your limbs around to their epic, expansive tunes. You can even turn up in your birthday suit if you like.
Following a great review in the magazine for their debut album ‘Lily Of The Valley’, no doubt they’ll be putting on a great show live with a mixture of distorted guitars, blistering harmonious pop, and electronica. Theirs is an expansive and exhilarating sound sure to set things off in style.
Funeral Suits - Health
Support comes from London’s lugubrious gothic rock outfit Torches and Bristol’s up and coming baggy outfit Towns. With their new single ‘Sky Blue & Ivory’ gathering online attention already despite not being released until 23rd July, Torches live reputation has already seen them share stages with the likes of Crushed Beaks and Haim. The five-piece shine a light on the sinister side of life with primal beats and broody vocals combining in a sardonic atmosphere that’s both chilling and gripping.
Torches - VTOO
Towns have quickly become the most talked about baggy band around since impressing the UK press with debut single ‘Gone Are The Days’ late last year. New single ‘Just Everything’ further confirms their penchant for shimmering riffs and reverberating vocals. Recalling the ‘90s heyday there’s hints of The Stone Roses, The Charlatans, and Primal Scream, all done in their own inimitable way.
