We’re very excited to announce that our next issue launch in Manchester will be headlined by blues-rock duo Deap Vally. The Californian outfit comprise of Lindsey Troy’s howling vocals and the rhythm of Julie Edwards.
Already they’ve toured North America with The Vacciness and now they’re taking the UK by storm too. The band’s White Stripes meets Yeah Yeah Yeahs sound will be causing a riot at Deaf Institute on March 6th and for just £7 you can catch them, plus get a free copy of the new issue of Clash Magazine before it hits the shelves! Tickets are sure to fly for this one so be sure to pick them up while you can.
Support comes from the gritty grunge two-piece, Drenge. These sinister brothers got plenty of praise after releasing rifftastic debut single ‘Bloodsports’ recently, and have lots of hard-edged tunes to back it up with, including the cynically titled ‘People In Love Make Me Feel Yuck’. Everything we’ve heard them play has been scarily good.
So there you go: £7, two awesome bands, and a free issue of Clash Magazine. Come down and say hello.
