Clash Magazine Out Now With DJ Shadow
The new issue of Clash Magazine hits the shops today with DJ Shadow, Wooden Shjips, The Rapture, Spank Rock, Bombay Bicycle Club and more.

With record shops withering and listening habits increasingly stripped of context as our culture incessantly indulges its shuffle addiction, the notion of an artist still willing to present a cohesive document borne of dedication and sample mining may seem archaic. Yet with new album ‘The Less You Know The Better’, DJ Shadow has once again distilled both the joy of crate digging and music’s tactile thrill into an LP that is far closer to ‘Endtroducing...’ than ‘The Outsider’, so on the of cusp it’s release, Clash brazenly ignored the advice of the album’s title to chat with DJ Shadow about its gestation, the lack of innovation in modern music and his refusal to wear a meat dress.

Also in the issue are interviews with Wooden Shjips, The Rapture, Spank Rock, Bombay Bicycle Club and a look at 'The Birth Of The Bristol Sound'. We have another batch of Ones To Watch featuring Foe, Warrior One, Givers, Michael Kiwanuka, Grouplove, and Raffertie, ask Suede's Brett Anderson how he'd spend his last day on Earth, offer up ten things you never knew about The Cure, discover the life in music of reggae icon Jimmy Cliff, get Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! to interview Fleet Foxes and all the usual regular news, reviews, films, fashion and technology.

Accompanying the new issue is a new, free Cross Section download album featuring The Rapture, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Grouplove, Boots Electric, Wooden Shjips, FOE, Sound Of Rum, Warrior One, Samiyam and Raffertie. Grab yours HERE.
