Clash Launches New Social Show
With 65daysofstatic...
Here at Clash, we’re pretty partial to taking our favourite bands of the moment and putting them on a stage. We loosely call this ‘promoting’, but really: it’s just an excuse to see great acts up close ‘n’ personal, and then spend a night telling our in-attendance mates: “Told you so”.
On Monday, June 22, Clash starts a brand new night at The Social, central London (5 Little Portland Street, W1W 7JD). It’s a great bar and venue that we’ve admired for some time – it’s only a five-minute step from our London offices – so we’re dead pleased to be putting on great bills there.
And our first great bill really is great, and pretty different from your average Clash bill, with an emphasis on all things electro. Taking to the stage we’ve got Digitonal, Rival Consoles and worriedaboutsatan, and headlining in a DJ capacity we have the ever-wonderful and forever unpredictable 65daysofstatic.

65DAYSOFSTATIC (DJs)
65days will be dropping in to deliver a headlining DJ set of propulsive party beats and glitch-toned sonic tectonics. The band's new live album, 'Escape From New York' (recorded in New York, d'uh; at Madison flippin' Square Gardens no less), is out now on Monotreme.

WORRIEDABOUTSATAN (LIVE)
As seen at a recent Clash Saturday Social show, this Leeds-based duo's remarkable music is a blend of the most affecting post-rock and the most absorbing textural electronica. Their debut album 'arrivals' is out now - think Apparat or Matthew Dear, albeit through a Mono/This Will Destroy You filter.

RIVAL CONSOLES (LIVE)
Incredibly refined IDM that falls easily into no category of dance/crossover; instead, the music of Ryan Lee West writhes in a field of its own, twitching and buzzing like little else, myriad elements combining to create something uniquely his. Debut album 'IO' drops in the summer - get down to The Social for a special taster of what'll be one of the best releases of its kind this year.

DIGITONAL (LIVE)
Shimmering cinematic electronica with overtones of sublime classical submersion, Digitonal look to further the possibilities of electronic music while always embracing elements of instant accessibility. Latest album 'Save Your Light For Darker Days' received rave reviews last year.
