Clash Confirms Stage At The Great Escape

Little Dragon headline as the Brighton festival reveals full schedule…

The Great Escape has grown into not only one of the best city music festivals in Britain, but inarguably one of the finest in the world, the seaside setting of Brighton playing host to a wealth of international and domestic talents both rising and well established.

With a month to go until this year’s TGE, held May 8th-10th, organisers have just announced the three-day event’s full schedule – a gig planner and a sweet load of more information can now be found at the festival’s official website, here

It’s probably needless to say that there are a number of confirmed acts catching the collective Clash eye: These New Puritans, Le1f, Jon Hopkins, Kelis, Ratking, East India Youth, Future Islands, Jungle, Royal Blood, Blue Daisy, Little Dragon

And speaking of the latter act, whose new LP ‘Namuba Rubberband’ is out on May 12th, Clash is pleased indeed to announce that the Gothenburg-based band headlines our debut appearance at TGE. On the Thursday night, May 8th, we take over Coalition – right on the beach, nice – to present a five-act bill that looks like this…

Not bad, eh? We’re live from 6.45 on May 8th, with Little Dragon (pictured) performing around 10pm. More on all of the acts playing our stage soon – though do click the names for what we have on them right now. One of this year’s showcasing countries is Finland, so we’re super happy to have Jaakko, one of the most interesting Finnish artists to cross our ears in recent months, appearing at Coalition.
