CHVRCHES Give Second Album Update

Flurry of live shows announced...

CHVRCHES have barely taken a break since their inception.

The viral success of 'The Mother We Share' – 10 million YouTube plays and counting – preceded the release of debut album 'The Bones Of What You Believe'.

Since then, the band have been on the road almost constantly, scoring success at home and across the globe. Retreating to Glasgow to work on fresh material, CHVRCHES have begun to sketch out album no. 2.

Speaking to Pitchfork, the trio explained that they were taking charge of production themselves, retreating to the same basement studio which spawned their debut.

Track titles such as 'Never Ending Circles', 'Leave A Trace' and 'Make Them Gold' are mentioned, with CHRVCHES seemingly emboldened by the success of 'The Bones Of What You Believe'.

At one point, Lauren Mayberry notes: "I had somebody say to me once, 'You can’t make the kind of music you’re making and call yourself a feminist.' The door was slammed on them swiftly after that. Nothing gets my hackles up like being told I can’t do something."
