Robbie Williams has sealed a double chart triumph, claiming number one spot on both the single and album countdown.
November is a funny ol’ month in the world of pop. The Autumn season is beginning to cool off, with the flurry of major releases which rippled through September and October coming to a halt.
Robbie Williams, though, has no intentions of slowing down. The singer stole away with the top spot on the singles chart last week, with ‘Candy’ beating off competition from the likes of Adele, boy band The Wanted and more.
Now the singer has clinched a double triumph. ‘Candy’ retains pole position on the singles chart, spending a second week at number one. Alongside this, new full length ‘Take The Crown’ has topped the charts. Robbie Williams has outsold JLS, Calvin Harris and more.
Falling on Remembrance Sunday, the charts also contain a few tributes to the British armed forces. The Military Wives have once again cracked the Top Ten, with new album ‘Stronger Together’ reaching number five.
This week’s Top Ten albums:
- Robbie Williams – Take The Crown
- Andre Rieu & Johann Strauss - Magic Of The Moves
- JLS – Evolution
- Calvin Harris – 18 Months
- Military Wives – Stronger Together
- Emili Sande – Our Version Of Events
- Kylie Minogue – The Abbey Road Sessions
- Paloma Faith – Fall To Grace
- Mumford & Sons – Babel
- Andrea Bocelli - Opera
