Chart Round Up

Killers Score High

Las Vegas indie icons The Killers remain high in the official UK charts, but have been beaten to the punch by Leona Lewis and Take That with record breaking entries.

The Killers have had a stunning end to the year. New album 'Day & Age' remains at number two in the British charts, while their anthemic comeback single 'Human' remains in the Top Five.

However the band have been beaten on both charts by record breaking entries. Leona Lewis is at number one in the singles chart with her take on Snow Patrol's 'Run'. Originally recorded for Radio 1's 'Live Lounge' it was made available after huge public pressure and broke download records this week.

In the album charts it was Take That who ruled the roost with their single 'Greatest Day'. The band sold almost five times as many copies as their nearest rivals, with the album having the biggest online pre-order sales of the year so far.

I thought that The Killers

I thought that The Killers album Day and Age was at number one in the charts for a week, but your article seems to suggest that they only reached number two. Take That reached number one the following week and then Day and Age went down to number two. I think The Killers deserved to be on top for longer as their new album is superb.
