Chapel Club have confirmed plans for an intimate one off London show at Birthdays.

These days it seems that bands get less time than ever to evolve, to find their own sound. Take Chapel Club: the group's debut album was a perfectly good introductory statement, but seemed to be damned in some quarters for not re-inventing the wheel.

Thankfully, the band have shrugged off any criticism. Working on album #2 Chapel Club have returned with some daring, inventive material.

Interest in the group is huge, and Chapel Club have stepped in to announce an intimate London show. Posting on Facebook, the band wrote: "Hello peeples, how are things? I'm Lewis from Chapel Club and I need to have a word with you".

"On August 1st we (The Chapel Club) will make our return to the live arena (albeit not in an arena). Instead we'll be playing the wonderful Birthdays nite-spot in London's lively Dalston."

"A bleep is as good as a twang, and for that reason we'll be playing much new gear alongside some old gear. But let's be honest, this show is mainly about the hair."

"Now is your chance to witness for yourself, live and in person, the incomprehensible and unsettling wonder of my own private musical Hirsuterie - aka wilLiam, Alexander, Michael and Richard. My head will remain politely close-cropped, as ever, but I may wear outrageous clothing."

"The venue holds about 150 average-sized peeples, so rush rush rush if you want to get hold of tickits before your lumpen friends beat you to it."

Chapel Club have confirmed the following show:
