'The Lady Killer' due in October

Gnarls Barkley singer Cee-Lo has confirmed the release of his new album 'Lady Killer' in October.

Cee-Lo has one of the most recognisable voices in pop music. Deeply soulful but with a modern touch, his vocals helped to push the Gnarls Barkley single 'Crazy' onto international fame.

So it was slightly surprising to hear his latest four letter rant. 'F**k You' was released onto the internet earlier this week, becoming an instant talking point for fans.

The singer used profane language, uttering an ultra-catchy tale of revenge. Cee-Lo is on typically wonderful form, with his vocals propelling the song while adding elements of his own character.

With over 2 million plays on YouTube in just a week, 'F**k You' looks set to become a hit when it it eventually given an official release. The clean version will be called 'Forget You' and is due to come out in late September.

The track is taken from Cee-Lo's forthcoming album. The Goodie Mob member has been working on new material, with the results set to be gathered on the new 'Lady Killer' release later this year.

Not much is known about the new release, with Prefix Mag confirming some details. Recent track 'I Want You' is due to appear on the forthcoming album, after recently receiving an online premiere.

Other tracks have yet to be confirmed, although Cee-Lo did recently release a cover version of 'No One's Gonna Love You' by Band Of Horses. Originally on the band's 'Cease To Begin' album, the Gnarls Barkley singer adds his own distinctive touch.

The full tracklisting has yet to be confirmed, with a release date of October 4th mooted. Expect more details to be confirmed closer to the release!
