One day London festival Carnaby Sound has launched, with performances from Kids in Glass Houses, James McCartney, Night Engine and more expected.
Carnaby Street is one of London's most iconic shopping areas. During the 60s, the street was home to countless boutiques, who helped to revolutionise male fashion and clothe the Swinging 60s era.
Remaining a sought after destination, a new one day festival aims to celebrate the area's heritage. Taking place this Saturday (July 6th) Carnaby Sound brings together Mod, R&B, hip hop, pop and dance music across two stages.
Kids In Glass Houses will be playing the main stage on Liberty’s roof overlooking Carnaby Street, joined by the likes of James McCartney, Night Engine, Luminites and more. Meanwhile, the Newburgh Quarter stage will boast Oxford indie tykes Young Knives, with Spycatcher,The Carnabys, Luxe amongst the other names confirmed for the bill.
Alongside live music, shops such as Pretty Green, Ben Sherman and more will have in-house DJs, while the Mach Schau Gallery will be launching a Michael Cooper exhibition.
Carnaby Sound takes place this Saturday (July 6th) on Carnaby Street, London.
