Carl Barat / Jon McClure Team Up

At JD Set show

Indie stars Carl Barat and Jon McClure have teamed up for a spectacular performance in London.

Carl Barat is in demand right now. After splitting Dirty Pretty Things last year the songwriter took off to the United States with close friends Glasvegas.

Debuting a number of new songs the former Libertine returned to the UK. A charity show with Pete Doherty followed sparking rumours of a permanent re-union, which Barat has done his best to discount.

Claiming he was simply too busy to reform The Libertines, Carl Barat is in the middle to recording his debut solo album.

However the singer took time out to perform in London last night (October 8th) at a special JDSet party.

Rushing through a series of hits at the Village Underground venue, the singer appeared on a bill that also included one time Suede frontman Brett Anderson. Reverend & The Makers singer Jon McClure also appeared, with the Sheffield star up to his usual antics.

The outspoken indie personality performed the Sex Pistols classic 'Pretty Vacant' alongside punk icon Glen Matlock. The audience were stunned by the collaboration but more was in store.

Later on Jon McClure joined Carl Barat to run through the Velvet Underground classic 'Venus In Furs'. Brett Anderson joined in the fun on backing vocals, with footage below...
