US alt country collective Calexico are set to release their new LP, titled "Carried To Dust", on September 8th it has been announced.

The band, led by Joey Burns and John Convertino, have been locked away in the studio and are ready to return with their new 15 tracks collection of Americana fueled joy titled "Carried To Dust". The band are one of the most acclaimed US acts of recent years, and are one of the few in that country to use the musical influence of nearby Mexico.

With an extensive world tour in the pipeline, Calexico have taken their music to the next logical step: outer space! The group were selected by the family of astronot Mark Kelly to be beamed to the space shuttle Discovery in order to wake the crew from their deep sleep.

Calexico release new album "Carried To Dust" on September 8th, with a UK tour still being scheduled.
