Acclaimed Americana group Calexico are set to return with a new album "Carried To Dust" released through City Slang on September 8th.
Centred on the ever-creative duo of Joey Burns and John Convertino, Calexico blend a wide variety of instrumentation with songs that call upon the myths of the Old West and Mexico. Like Sergio Leone orchestrating a Neil Young album, Calexico are one of America's most acclaimed acts of the past two decades.
New album "Carried To Dust" is another incredible achievement. With all the gravitas of a Steinbeck novel, the new album confirms Calexico's reputation as a band who cut straight to the heart of America.
"Carried To Dust" is set to be released on September 8th. Calexico are set to tour the UK, and will play the following tour dates:
September 10th - Dublin, Tripod
September 11th - Edinburgh, Queens Hall
September 12th - Oxford, Academy
September 13th - Sheffield, Leadmill
September 14th - Dorset, End Of The Road Festival
October 11th - London, Forum
