Bruce Springsteen Cancels Kansas City

Death in the family

American musical legend Bruce Springsteen has been forced to cancel a show following a death in his immediate family.

Bruce Springsteen seems to be cool again. After decades in the wilderness it appears to be OK in the eyes of the credibility police for admitting a fondness for The Boss and his bombastic songwriting style.

After helping Barack Obama on the campaign trail Bruce Springsteen returned with his new album 'Working On A Dream'. Produced by Brendan O'Brien the album's crisp sound and inspirational songwriting made it a huge success.

Touring throughout the world, Bruce Springsteen agreed to play the first ever British festival of his career. Headlining this summer's Glastonbury event The Boss was on stunning form playing a mammoth set.

However the singer has been dealt a blow, with a death in the family forcing the postponement of a show in Kansas City. A statement from the Sprint Center venue said: "Due to a death in Bruce's immediate family, tonight's show at Sprint Center has been unavoidably cancelled."

"Bruce and the band deeply appreciate the understanding of our Kansas City audience and look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity."

Bruce Springsteen are set to take part in the huge Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame anniversary show in Madison Square Garden on Thursday (October 29th). It is not now known is this performance will go ahead.

In addition to this, Bruce Springsteen regularly hosts a massive Halloween party in his new Jersey home. Inviting round his neighbours, last year's event was cancelled.
