Broken Social Scene Score New Movie

Canadian indie rock titans Broken Social Scene have been involved in scoring forthcoming movie 'The Time Traveler's Wife'.

Via their label Arts & Crafts, Broken Social Scene have overseen an astonishing renaissance in Canadian music. Of course, it helps when each member of the group has their own acclaimed side project!

Broken Social Scene mainmen Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning appear in the forthcoming Rachel McAdams drama, playing a wedding band with fellow musicians Justin Peroff and Andrew Whiteman, according to the Playlist.

The duo lurch through a version of the much covered Joy Division classic 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'. Why do people insist on having this song played at their wedding? It's not even romantic people!

In addition to this, Brendan Canning has also contributed some music to the film's score.

However, a note of caution. The film's entry on the cinema database IMDb states that it began shooting in 2007, and has now been delayed until February 2010 - at least!

It is not known when, if ever, a soundtrack album will be released.
