British Music Museum Announced

Stones, Oasis Donate Items

The British Music Experience, a stunning new museum housed within the confines of the O2 Arena in London, is set to open in March 2009 with historic items donated by The Rolling Stone, Oasis and many more.

The new museum charts the growth of British music, measuring its huge success and most iconic moments. The space in which it will be housed currently displays the ancient treasures of Tutankhamun, but the priceless jewels of the Boy King will just have to make way for the thundering sound of power chord.

From March the O2 arena will play host the stunning exhibition. Mick Jagger has donated an iconic jumpsuit from the 70s, while Noel Gallagher's famous Union Jack patterned guitar will also be on display.

The curators have also revealed that the exhibition will also contain guitars belonging to Paul Weller, Blur and Marc Bolan, while there will also be a vintage dress belonging to Amy Winehouse.

The British Music Experience opens in the O2 Arena in March.
