Brighton Port Authority Return
New Single Announced
Brighton Port Authority, Norman Cook's new project, are set to return on November 24th with their new single 'Seattle', it has been announced.
Junking the Fatboy Slim name just in time for the 10th anniversary of the best selling album 'You've Come A Long Way, Baby', Norman Cook has re-emerged as the Brighton Port Authority. Debut single 'Toe Jam' was released earlier this year, and its blissful balearic vibe perfectly captured the festival atmosphere this summer. Featuring both Dizzee Rascal and David Byrne, 'Toe Jam' was a wonderful collision of sparkling musical talents.
Now the act are set to return with their new single 'Seattle'. Featuring anti-folkster (and former Clashmusic.com 'Track Of The Day') Emmy The Great as well as fellow London singer Jack Penate. A stunning track, it comes complete with remixes from Brookes Brothers, Azzido Da Bass and more.
The full Brighton Port Authority album will be called 'I Think We Need A Bigger Boat' and is scheduled for a January release. Details are scarce, but the next single is rumored to contain an incendiary appearance from Iggy Pop.
