Brett Anderson UK Tour Details

Former Suede singer turned solo star Brett Anderson has confirmed details of a UK tour.

Suede seem to have become one of British music's forgotten groups. Arriving in a blizzard of hype the band's debut single 'The Drowners' became an instant classic, swiftly followed by their acclaimed debut album.

Hugely praised by the press, Suede came to occupy a place in British pop vacated by The Smiths five years before. However during sessions for second album 'Dog Man Star' guitarist Bernard Butler walked out.

Becoming a hit in the Britpop era Suede never quite regained the momentum of their early years. Splitting in 2000, Brett Anderson went on to have a varied solo career.

Re-uniting with Bernard Butler for an album under the name The Tears, the pair proved that while they may be some fifteen years older their appetite for creative new music still knows no bounds.

Returning with an album under his own name, 'Slow Attack' is due to be released this week. A varied collection, it showcases Brett Anderson's still spine tingling voice and of course his ever maturing songwriting skills.

Heading out across the UK, Brett Anderson is due to visit a variety of venues across the UK in January and February. Opening with a show in the Shepherds Bush Empire the singer will close the short tour with a gig in Glasgow's King Tuts.
