Ticket details announced

Killers singer turned solo star Brandon Flowers has confirmed details of a new UK tour.

Brandon Flowers doesn't like to sit still. Embarking on a world wide tour with The Killers, the singer shied away from the band's party antics to focus on his music.

Tiring of the road, the band have decided to take a break but it seems that Brandon Flowers is in no mood to rest on his laurels. The Killers singer has stepped out alone, completing work on his debut album 'Flamingo'.

Little has been heard of the new record, with Brandon Flowers keeping material under wraps. New single 'Crossfire' is out now, and has become an instant favourite with fans eager for new material.

Going Top Ten in its first week of release, the single is a typically euphoric slice of indie rock, destined to echo around festivals and arenas.

Accompanied by a new backing band, Brandon Flowers will embark on his debut solo sojourn later this year. Arriving in the UK this October, the tour dates will open in Glasgow on October 12th.

The tour continues with dates in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and more with Brandon Flowers set to hit London on October 17th. Playing the HMV Forum the show is quite a small debut date in the capital for the Killers frontman.

Tickets for the shows are set to go on sale this Friday (September 3rd). However members of The Killers fanclub The Victims will be able to purchase selected tickets from Wednesday (September 1st).

New single 'Crossfire' will be followed by 'Flamingo', due for release on September 6th. A natural succession from 'Day & Age' the material nonetheless feels like a Brandon Flowers solo project, rather than a full Killers effort.

Brandon Flowers have confirmed the following shows:

12 Glasgow O2 Academy
13 Leeds O2 Academy
14 Liverpool O2 Academy
16 Manchester Academy
17 London HMV Forum
18 Birmingham HMV Institute
