Debut LP approaches
Hotly tipped London indie types Bombay Bicycle Club have announced new details of their debut album ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’.
Formed while the band members were barely in their teens, Bombay Bicycle Club began life playing any venue that would let them in. Not old enough to be served at the bar, the band were packing in fans who thrilled at their broody indie clatter.
Entering the Road To V competition in 2006 the group received their big break. Beating off competition from fellow entries The Holloways, Bombay Bicycle Club won the contest and their performance at V Festival helped win the band many new fans.
Earning rave reviews, the band released debut single ‘Evening/Morning’ through independent label Young And Lost. Snapped up by Island Records, Bombay Bicycle Club released their new single ‘Dust On The Ground’ on Monday (June 29th).
A stunning blast of melancholic rock, the single is taken from the band’s debut album. Bombay Bicycle Club have been working on their new album for some time, which is now complete.
In a statement on their official site the band revealed the tracklisting, saying “as you can see a mixture of some very old, old, fairly new and completely new songs”. The band also confirmed that there are set to guide fans through the album – watch this space for more details.
