Bob Dylan To Accept His Nobel Prize In Private

At a ceremony this weekend...

Bob Dylan is set to accept his Nobel Prize For Literature at a private ceremony this weekend.

The songwriter was named the beneficiary of the award last October, and ruffled feathers by appearing to let the news pass him by.

Eventually releasing a statement, Bob Dylan will finally pick up his Nobel Prize at a private ceremony in Stockholm.

In addition to this, the bard will release a taped lecture, in line with the traditions of the Swedish Academy.

Prof Sara Danius, the permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy, broke the news in a blog post:

"The good news is that the Swedish Academy and Bob Dylan have decided to meet this weekend. The Academy will then hand over Dylan's Nobel diploma and the Nobel medal, and congratulate him on the Nobel Prize in Literature."

"The setting will be small and intimate, and no media will be present; only Bob Dylan and members of the Academy will attend, all according to Dylan's wishes."
