Bob Dylan Crafts New Video

'Must Be Santa' clip emerges

Seminal songwriter Bob Dylan has got himself into the festive spirit for his first video in a decade.

Bob Dylan may have pioneered the music video with his iconic 'Subterranean Homesick Blues' clip but the songwriter is famously loath to appear in one himself.

In the past decade Bob Dylan hasn't recorded one promotional video, despite releasing several critically acclaimed albums. An appearance in a lingerie advert aside, the singer has steered clear of any television or film work.

Which makes his new video all the more bizarre. 'Must Be Santa' is a song taken from his recent album 'Christmas In The Heart' a unique charity project the singer confirmed earlier this year.

With all profits going to charity the album is set to make Christmas a little brighter for thousands of people around the world.

Taken from the new album 'Must Be Santa' is a jolly Pogues style romp featuring accordions and fiddles. Very much a 'traditional' Christmas sound, the track is a world away from the languid blues driven sound of recent albums.

A surprising return, but not as surprising as the video for 'Must Be Santa'. In the new promo clip Bob Dylan is seen dancing at a party in a long grey wig and a Christmas hat - fairly unbecoming for a musical legend.

A dance routine takes place around the singer, with Bob Dylan doing his very best to appear jolly in the festive scene.

Bob Dylan's new festive album 'Christmas In The Heart' is out now. Watch out for the 'Must Be Santa' clip later today (November 17th).
