Bloc Party Remix Album
'Intimacy' gets reworked
Bloc Party are set to rework one of the most challenging points of their career with new album 'Intimacy Remixed'.
Released last year, 'Intimacy' expanded the band's sonic palette to include electronica and orchestral flourishes. The first any fans heard of the album was the single 'Mercury' which immediately split their audience down the middle.
The album itself was initially released as a download before coming out on physical formats. Bizarrely, the band almost immediately released a new single - which was not included on 'Intimacy'.
Amongst those queuing up to remix the album are Mogwai, Filthy Dukes and many more. The forthcoming album 'Intimacy Remixed' will be trailed by the single 'Signs' remixed by Armand Van Helden, due for release on April 27th.
Bloc Party are no strangers to remixes, with The Streets edit of 'Banquet' proving to be so popular the band even shot a video for it. However, this is the first full length collection of remixes the group have released.
Bloc Party release their new album 'Intimacy Remixed' on May 11th. Tracklisting is as follows:
'Ares' (Villains)
'Mercury' (Hervé Is In Disarray)
'Halo' (We Have Band Dub)
'Biko' (Mogwai)
'Trojan Horse' (John B)
'Signs' (Armand Van Helden)
'One Month Off' (Filthy Dukes)
'Zephyrus' (Phase One)
'Talons' (Phones RIP)
'Better Than Heaven' (No Age)
'Ion Square' (Banjo or Freakout)
'Letter To My Son' (Gold Panda)
'Your Visits Are Getting Shorter' (Double D)
