Bloc Party, Foals and Kraftwerk have been announced as the headliners for this summer's installment of Latitude.
Held in Suffolk, Latitude has managed to thrive during a difficult period for summer festivals. Matching a carefully chosen bill with a desire to reach as many people as possible, the event has grown in stature year on year.
With fans eager to find out what's in store this year, Latitude organizer Melvin Benn dropped past Steve Lamacq's Music show last night to reveal a few names. Chatting to the host, the organizer revealed that Bloc Party, Foals and Kraftwerk are set to headline Latitude.
It's a curious mixture. Bloc Party recently returned with new studio album 'FOUR' and played a set of blazing live shows across the UK. Set to perform a sold out date at London's Earls Court later this year, the band are in prime form.
Foals, meanwhile, recently released their third album 'Holy Fire' which has become their fastest selling studio effort to date. Plotting two sold out shows at the Royal Albert Hall, the band will take their live show to Latitude this summer.
Finally, Kraftwerk will perform at the Suffolk event. Playing a 'Best Of' set drawing on those recent audio / visual shows at the Tate Modern, the set will no doubt rank as something extremely special indeed.
Latitude runs between July 19th - 21st.
