Bloc Party Criticise Killers
Okereke doesn't watch show
Outspoken Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke has launched a thinly-veiled criticism of Las Vegas indie giants The Killers, it has been reported.
Bloc Party have always had a confrontational streak, whether its the industry-mangling release of new album 'Intimacy' or brawling with Sex Pistols singer John Lydon.
Bloc Party and The Killers were scheduled to appear on the same radio station as each other, but didn't cross paths. Lead singer Kele Okereke now admits he went out of his way to avoid the performance by the Las Vegas group.
"I didn't watch The Killers," Okereke told the Daily Mirror. "In fact, I made sure I left before they came onstage."
Okereke's confrontation with John Lydon in Spain last summer resulted in an all-star punch up that included members of Foals and Kaiser Chiefs coming to the singer's aid.
The Bloc Party frontman did not explain what made him avoid the Las Vegas group.
