Indie giants Bloc Party have stunned fans with the shock of release of third album "Intimacy", available to pre-order from the band's site now!

In a web chat on Monday (August 18th) the band revealed to fans the existence of their eagerly anticipated third album "Intimacy". The album can now be ordered on the official Bloc Party site, with a limited edition CD copy of the album available from October 27th complete with extra songs.

A copy has found its way to the Clash office and we can confirm that it is a great piece of work. Lead single "Mercury" is far from the most experimental thing on the album, which expands the Bloc Party sound but without losing that distinctive edge. A full track by track run down will be live on the site later.

Produced by Paul Epworth and Jacknife Lee, and mixed by Alan Moulder, "Intimacy" is set to be one of the year's top albums. Bloc party are set to play Hydro Connect festival at Inveraray Castle on Saturday August 30th.
