Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Live Album

New CD / DVD package due

American drone rockers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are set to release a concert album simply titled 'Live'.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club were an irresistible package on their arrival in 2002. Taking their name from Marlon Brando's biker gang in the film 'The Wild Ones' they seemed to reek of old school rebellion.

Dope fuelled guitar riffs? Check. Lyrics that plead for redemption whilst still revelling in sin? Double check.

Since then, though, the band have entered precarious waters. Losing original drummer Nick Jago held them back while recent experimental package 'The Effects Of 333' is perhaps best forgotten.

However Black Rebel Motorcycle Club can still raise the heckles of hell when it matters, namely in the live arena. With a stunning back catalogue to draw on the group mix white heat with dry ice to provide something uniquely thrilling.

A new live album aims to document this. 'Live' contains two DVDs and one fourteen track CD recorded between shows in Berlin, Dublin and Glasgow.

Shot back in 2007, it captures Black Rebel Motorcycle Club when they were touring their album 'Baby 81'. With footage mainly in black and white a grainy, atmospheric feel is maintained throughout.

For those of us hankering after new material, the band are currently hard at work on their fifth album in Hollywood. Their first with new drummer Leah Shapiro, the record is scheduled to be released in March.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are due to release 'Live' on November 16th. Tracklisting is as follows:
