Black Keys Solo Effort
Guitarist Prepares New Album
Black Keys' guitarist and vocalist Dan Auerbach is set to release his debut solo album 'Keep It Hid' on February 10th in the United States, it has been announced.
Auerbach is one half of Akron, Ohio's finest filthy blues two piece The Black Keys. When not thundering out lost delta licks the musician can be found groaning into a microphone like the long lost son of Junior Kimbrough. Dan Auerbahc has announced that he will be taking time off the band to release a new solo album called 'Keep It Hid'.
Auerbach will play the majority of instruments on the new record, trying his hand at guitar, keyboards, drums, and other percussion instruments on the album. He also produced and engineered it himself - go Dan!
Auerbach will play a short tour in the US in support of the album in February and March, with support group Hacienda acting as his backing band.
Back on the Black Keys' trail, the group's already announced DVD 'Live At The Crystal Ballroom' is set to be released on November 18th.
