Bjork Cancels Sonar Sao Paulo Show

Due to vocal cord nodule

Bjork has cancelled a further South American show due to a nodule on her vocal cords.

Currently on tour in South America, the strain of continual live performance seems to be taking its toll on Bjork. The Icelandic singer has developed a nodule on her vocal cords, forcing the cancellation of several live shows.

Taking time off, it seems that the rest has not been enough to help Bjork to recover. In a statement Sonar Sao Paulo announced that the Icelandic singer would not, now be appearing at the Brazilian event.

It is with great regret that Sonar Sao Paulo announce that Björk’s performance at this year’s event event will be cancelled.

After medical studies performed, Bjork’s specialist doctor advised her immediate rest of her voice due to an inflamed nodule. Following Björk having to cancel two shows in Argentina when this condition emerged, it is on doctors advice, too soon to try and sing again, as this could bring a permanent damage to her voice. Even though Björk wants to perform, she won’t be able to continue with the show.

We are very sorry about any inconvenience this might bring, and appreciate your understanding. We will release a statement to the media and upload it on our website www.sonarsaopaulo.com.br in the next 48 hours to inform you of refund or exchange procedures.

We wish Björk a quick and full recovery to continue enjoying her talent soon.
