British festivals - with only a few exceptions - tend to be located in the same sort of area.
Lush green friends, perhaps flanked by hills on either side with fans pouring in from all angles. It's a joy to behold, for sure, but it can also be a little repetitive.
Which is why festivals like Tauron Nowa Muzyka are such a joy. Located in Poland, the event takes place in an abandoned coal mine and makes full use of this post-industrial landscape.
The jaw dropping location is matched by a carefully curated bill, which includes Hessle Audio lynchpin Ben UFO, German experimentalists Mouse On Mars, Warp signing Jackson & His Computerband and more.
Elsewhere, Fade To Mind starlet Kelela is due to appear, while other confirmed artists include Kompakt favourites Terranova and Elekfantz, Warp hip hop outlaw Gonjasufi and Nozinja.
Tickets are on sale now, with two day passes starting at just £30.
Tauron Nowa Muzyka runs between August 21st - 24th.
