Indie types return to London

Belle & Sebastian are set to play a special one off show in London's Roundhouse on May 29th.

It's been a busy twelve months for Belle & Sebastian. Returning with their new album 'Write About Love' the band were returning to a new musical landscape, with scores of groups citing them as an influence.

Touring across the globe, the group finished 2010 with four nights in Glasgow. Now leader Stuart Murdoch is preparing to compile his diaries, with Belle & Sebastian set to go back out onto the road.

The Glasgow indie collective recently curated Bowlie 2, inviting a host of friends along for the party. Re-affirming the Glasgow indie lineage, Belle & Sebastian appeared alongside The Vaselines and Teenage Fanclub.

But Minehead still doesn't compare to an actual, genuine London show. Well now the waiting is over, as the band have teamed up with ATP Concerts to plan a one off show at London's historic Roundhouse venue.

A building steeped in rock mythology, Belle & Sebastian have chosen the Roundhouse for their first London show in almost five years.

Due to take place on May 29th, the one off show will draw on material from their recent album 'Belle & Sebastian Write About Love' as well as their hugely influential back catalogue. If the Christmas shows at the Barrowlands are anything to go by, this could be quite the party...

Tickets for the show go on sale from 9am this Friday (February 4th). Better be quick though - some people started queuing five years ago!
