Beck's 'Song Reader' To Become Recorded Album

With help from Jack White, Jarvis Cocker and more...
Beck

Initially released as sheet music, Beck's 'Song Reader' project marked the continuing democratisation of music.

Rather than record the songs, the American artist allowed fans - both iconic and unknown - to interpret his work as they saw fit.

Now 'Song Reader' is set to become a recorded album. The project features a hefty cast, with Beck roping in assistance from the likes of Jack White, Jarvis Cocker and more.

The twenty track record contains plenty of surprises, with Sparks, Loudon Wainwright III and Jeff Tweedy's new father/son project Tweedy.
