Beck has unveiled new track 'I Won't Be Long' - listen to it below.
Beck seems to have tired of the album format. Last year's 'Song Reader' release didn't involve recorded music - rather, the American artist released an album's worth of material as sheet music.
Now the songwriter is embarking on a new project. Chatting to the NME recently, Beck insisted that he was writing new material, which wouldn't be released as an album. "For 10 years I've been talking about putting out a series of 12-inch singles, one at a time" he said. "But I was holding them back 'cos I wasn't sure what I was doing with them. And I just wanted people to hear them."
The latest release 'I Won't Be Long' arrives on July 8th, and comes equipped with a ten minute remix. Listen to the original version below.

Beck is set to join a raft of artists on Thursday (July 4th) at London venue the Barbican for a one off concert. Interpreting his 'Song Reader' material as they see fit, the night will climax with a special performance from the American songwriter himself.
