Beady Eye To Play Japan Benefit

Ahead of new single

Beady Eye are set to headline an all star concert to raise money for those affected by the tsunami in Japan.

One of the most talked about groups of 2011, Beady Eye have not quite taken the nation by storm. Led by Liam Gallagher, the band's debut single 'The Roller' failed to penetrate the Top 30.

Releasing their debut album to mixed reviews, Beady Eye launched a full scale UK tour earlier this month. Delighting fans, the band kicked off their career packing out small venues such as Glasgow's historic Barrowlands.

Now looking towards the festival season, Beady Eye have confirmed details of a new single. Lifted from the recent debut album, new single 'Millionaire' is set to get a stand alone release on May 2nd.

Due to be available as a digital download and on seven inch vinyl, Beady Eye have added the bonus track 'Man Of Misery' as a B-side.

Meanwhile, Beady Eye have been confirmed as the headliners for a new benefit concert. Due to take place in London's O2 Academy Brixton, the band will join a bill packed with some of the country's finest guitar groups.

Graham Coxon is due to take a slot, while The Coral, Paul Weller and Primal Scream will also perform. More than 8,500 people have died already in the disaster, with many more unaccounted for.

The Japanese Red Cross have been working around the clock since the disaster, and desperately need funds. Due to take place on April 3rd, all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the relief effort.

A stellar line up, tickets are limited to four per person and will go on sale from 9am this Friday (March 25th).
