Beady Eye played a secret set at Glastonbury this morning (June 28th) as the Worthy Farm event got under way.
Glastonbury is upon us! After months of speculation, a degree of mystery still surrounds the event with fans waiting for a few secret sets.
Swinging into action this morning (June 28th) the festival opened with a surprise. Beady Eye performed at the Other Stage at 11am, welcoming bleary eyed revellers into the main festival area.
The band had previously hinted at a potential set, tweeting to fans the day before: "11am Friday - BE there or BE square..LG"
Opening with 'Flick Of The Finger' the set was weighted heavily towards the band's new album 'BE'. However Beady Eye did reach into the history books, performing the Oasis classics 'Rock N Roll Star' and 'Morning Glory'.
Dedicating the latter tracks to his sons Lennon and Gene, Liam Gallagher at one point changed the chorus to "tonight, I'm a rock 'n' roll star – at 11.30 in the fucking morning!" (via NME)
Finishing with 'Bring The Light' the frontman told the crowd: ""I've given you a headache; you've been amazing – but not as good as us."
