The 2009 Isle Of Wight Festival have confirmed British dance outfit Basement Jaxx as their first band.

The legendary Festival, which launched again in 2002 after a long hiatus, will take place on the 12th, 13th and 14th June next year, will see the London house heroes headline the first night, with more acts expected to be announced in the coming months. The Festival has seen a long host of musical legends play in the past, from Bob Dylan to The Doors .
