Babyshambles Man Pleads Guilty

Whitnall Admits Drug Possession

Babyshambles guitarist Mik Whitnall has pleaded guilty to possessing Class A drugs, after a police search on the musician allegedly uncovered rocks of crack cocaine.

Whitnall was arrested on suspicion of drug offences on October 12th in the Blackheath area of London. The Babyshambles man has been busy of late, helping his bandmates play a series of secret shows around London - echoing the group's early days.

Babyshambles are no strangers to drug induced controversy, after all Pete Doherty is their frontman. Whitnall has two previous drug convictions and five cautions against his name.

Appearing yesterday (December 10th) in Greenwich Crown Court, London the guitarist admitted possession of a Class A drug. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Babyshambles are currently on hiatus as Pete Doherty completes a solo album.
