Legendary American dance-rock stars The B-52s have been announced as special guests of uber-hip London club Easy Lover. The band, whose day-glo retro style cut a swathe through early 80s American punk, are set for a one-off date at the scenester's club of choice.
Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, Keith Strickland and Cindy Wilson will spin an electic mix drawn from the band's own influences, so expect punk, funk, electro, krautrock and everything in between!
After a twenty year career The B-52s went on hiatus in the late 90s, but will return next year with their new album "Funplex". Perhaps best known for their "Rock Lobster" breakthrough hit, the band may also be familiar from their role as the BC-52s in the live action Flintstones flick. Well, everyone has their downside we suppose.
The B-52s will play a DJ at Easy Lover in London's Punk club on January 18th. Their comeback album "Funplex" will follow on March 24th.
