Axl Rose Rants At Slash
Guitarist a 'cancer'
Guns N Roses singer Axl Rose has lashed out at former guitarist Slash in a new interview with American magazine Spinner.
Guns N Roses were thought to be missing in action, but returned last year bearing the mythical album 'Chinese Democracy'. The subject of a re-union with former band members has been a constant question in interviews, and Rose has intimated that he would like to work with some members again.
However, there appears to be no chance of Slash working with the group again. Rose told close friend and longtime confidante Del James, "Personally I consider him a cancer and better removed, avoided -- and the less anyone heard of him or his supporters, the better."
Later in the interview Axl Rose accused Slash of trying to take over the band. Rose also rules out a full re-union of the 'Use Your Illusion' era line up, stating that he had "different reasons for each version and each individual".
Continuing he said "I suppose Duff could play guitar on something somewhere, but there's zero possibility of me having anything to do with Slash other than by ambush, and that wouldn't be pretty..."
The singer did admit that a re-union would be an incredible money spinner. However, Rose said, "It's not enough to sell your soul and live in hell the rest of your life for, that's definitely certain."
