Axl Rose Manager Row
Album sales are stalling
Guns N Roses frontman Axl Rose has been reportedly arguing with his manager due to the slow sales of 'Chinese Democracy'.
Guns N Roses are one of the most legendary acts in rock music. The so-called 'most dangerous band on the planet' erupted out of Los Angeles with their searing debut album 'Appetite For Destruction', one of the most successful debuts of all time.
Since then, however, the band have splintered with only frontman Axl Rose remaining. The band released covers album 'The Spaghetti Incident' in 1993, but then left fans waiting over a decade for new material.
Forming a new version of the band, Guns N Roses took their time recording their new album. Titled 'Chinese Democracy' fans had long since given up on hearing the album when it was released last year.

Greeted with no little bemusement, the album was acclaimed by fans who rejoiced at hearing something - anything - from the band. However Axl Rose remained conspicuously silent, refusing to deal with the press or do interviews.
According to New York Daily News slow sales of 'Chinese Democracy' have led to massive rows between singer Axl Rose and his manager Irving Azoff. A source close to the band claims that Rose has fired and re-hired his manager three times in only five weeks.
Azoff has apparently been pleading with Axl Rose to help promote the album, but according to the source "Axl doesn't want anything to do with it. He won't come out of his house."
A source close to Azoff said, "Axl is Axl. People get hired and fired all the time in this business."
According to the newspaper a representative for Irving Azoff claimed that "we're in daily contact with Axl, and we look forward to continuing to support him and Guns N' Roses."
'Chinese Democracy' was released exclusively through Best Buy in the United States last year, with the rest of the world following soon after. However despite modest success it failed to set the heather alight, with sales not quite reaching one million.
To date, Axl Rose has done two interviews combined with posting on a fans forum in order to support the album.
Rumours have been circulating that the group would tour the album, but to date nothing has been confirmed by management.

Axl is Axl. He's a music
Axl is Axl. He's a music genius,a big rockstar, but he's a free man and always do what he want to do. With the Chinese Democracy album he has given to his fans a great, majestic rock album, 14 amazing and emotional songs that I can't stop to listen to everyday. This album sounds as a marvelous delirium of rock omnipotence, and who has bought it know it. And is not true that the sales are not good, the album has been 3 times platinum, first on the world chart, only in the USA there are been slow sales because Chinese Democracy is under the Best Buy exclusive and the stores there aren't in every city. Maybe Axl doesn't want to promote it because want that the music must speak for itself, or because he doesn't like the booklet with the mistakes in the lyrics and that doesn't have the text that he wrote( and I would know what is this text and if a day I can read it..)or maybe he don't care to do enough money I don't know, but I know that he know fans love this album. All the others people, simply still don't know it because the label don't push with radio and the media.
Does he not think for one
Does he not think for one minute that the album sales are slow because it's the biggest anti-climax ever?! If you're going to spend 10 years working on a masterpiece it's usually a good idea to make it a masterpiece. Admittedly it's not the worst album in the world but it is past its best already, it sounds old and a shadow of what Guns n' Roses used to be. He refuses to promote the album, he may as well stick two fingers up to his fans. I for one refused to part cash to feed Axl's already inflated ego. Guns n' Roses died a long time ago and Axl is flogging a dead horse, trying to keep his fame (or should that be infamy?!) with the ghosts of one of the best rock bands ever. Slash et al have moved on and Velvet Revolver are by far the better group!
Has been Axl to say that
Has been Axl to say that Guns N'Roses as the band of Appetite are died and buried, and everybody know how many times this band changed, from the beginning with Traci Guns at today with DJ Ashba, and it's correct and obvious that Chinese Democracy(fantastic) can't sounds like Appetite(great) as Appetite can't sounds like Useyourillusion(amazing). The music is art and there isn't a right way and a wrong way, and there isn't an age in the music, it can't be old or young. Listening to Chinese Democracy there is all the poetry and anger of Axl with the great talent and the new music imprints of the new members, and together they created a fantastic album. Listen to This I love, There was a time, Prostitute, Madagascar, Street of dreams, Catcher in the rye, we can finally listen to great music that remain inside of you in the same way of November rain,Don't cry,Estranged,Sweet child o'mine. This is what the Gn'R fans wanted, Chinese Democracy out, because we have known it through the leaks and it was too much beautiful, but we didn't have it and now finally we have it. The promotion, the marketing,is not our job.
