At The Drive-In To Reform?

Defunct El Paso powerhouse At The Drive-In have been in talks to reform, according to their former singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala.

After releasing their third and final album 'Relationship In Command' in 2001, the group split, with singer Cedric Bixler and guitarist Omar Rodriguez Lopez going on to form prog puzzlers The Mars Volta after citing they felt held back by ATDI's hardcore direction.

However, on the eve of The Mars Volta releasing their fifth album 'Octahedron' (reviewed HERE), the band's singer has said discussions for a reunion have been taking place - once they amend their financial difficulties.

Bixler told DrownedinSound.com: "We've been making amends with a lot of the members and having some really good talks with them. We've been trying to get our financial business in order because a lot of people have been ripping off that band really badly.

"I wouldn't mind it [a reformation]. It might happen, we just have to iron out a lot of personal things. A lot of it we've dealt with already and I've apologised for a lot of things I've said and the way it ended... we'll see what happens."

Meanwhile, The Mars Volta will also play live at the London ICA on June 18th, followed by a larger show at the London Somerset House on 13th July.
