For 'Acrobatic Tenement' and 'Relationship of Command' re-issues
Relationship of Command

At The Drive-In are to team up with British label Transgressive for re-issues of 'Acrobatic Tenement' and 'Relationship of Command'.

Every independent label has a wish list of artists they'd love to work with. For that reason (and for their boundless enthusiasm) Clash would dearly love to have been a fly on the wall when Transgressive found out that they'd just signed At The Drive-In.

Sadly, new material from the El Paso band is not forthcoming. Instead, 'Acrobatic Tenement' and 'Relationship of Command' will receive the re-issue treatment, with both being made available on vinyl.

For 1996 effort 'Acrobatic Tenement' this represents the first time the album has been pressed onto wax, while the original vinyl run for 'Relationship of Command' has long since become a sought after rarity.

'Acrobatic Tenement' will be released on March 25th, while 'Relationship of Command' follows on April 22nd. In addition to this, initial coloured vinyl copies of Relationship of Command will be available for Record Store Day on April 20th.

Both albums will be available digitally and on CD.

A quote from Jim Ward: “It was interesting to revisit the recordings that bookended the first chapters of our band. The earnest and pure excitement of the beginning and the level of craftsmanship we achieved by Relationship of Command leaves me nothing but proud. I am happy these records have found their way to continue to feel new as people discover music they love and embrace our work.”

Just for fun... here's that Later... performance once again.
