Ash Live Update

Punk pop outfit Ash have extended their live dates for the summer, after the trio revealed plans of a two night residency at the London Bloomsbury Ballroom in July .

The Irish rockers will now also play shows in Brighton and Portsmouth in June, as well as appearing at both Hop Farm and headlining Truck Festival in July.

Having reverted back to a trio after the departure of sometime guitarist Charlotte Heatherley (who is currently playing in Bat For Lashes - news) Ash returned last year for a run of live shows that saw them revisiting their eponymous debut '1977'.

Containing a barrage of spiky Britpop classics, the band's debut saw them go on to become one of the biggest acts in Britain at the time of release, with singles 'Goldfinger' and 'Oh Yeah' sending its sales rocketing to platinum status. '1977' was also released last year as a deluxe edition, nostalgia fans.
