A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty after the former Libertine failed to show up to a court hearing in Yeovil.

The singer was accussed of attacking a member of the paparazzi who had allegedly been taking pictures of Doherty and then-girlfriend Irina Lazareanu. Pete Doherty was charged with causing £200 worth of damage to the photographer's camera.

This is the latest in a long line of adventures Doherty has had with the long arm of the law, with the singer having done more porridge that Ronnie Barker.

A letter from Yeovil court has been sent to Doherty's home address, and he will be summoned to answer charges.
