Arena dates announced

Returning indie collective Arcade Fire have confirmed a series of massive arena dates across the UK.

On record, Arcade Fire are an immense, thrilling near orchestral experience. In the live arena, though, the band's music becomes truly transcendental with the crowd roaring to the Canadian group's music.

Returning with their number one album 'The Suburbs' the band recently played an intimate show in London. Arcade Fire's first British show in some time, it was followed by headline performances at Reading and Leeds.

With their new album blasting ear drums across the country, Arcade Fire have now decided to confirm details of a massive new tour.

The band's largest live undertaking in years, Arcade Fire will commence the tour in December. The announcement follows a special webcast from two shows at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Directed by Terry Gilliam the broadcast was a very special project uniting two unique talents. Shown for free across the internet the shows are a glimpse of what awaits fans on their upcoming tour.

Arcade Fire will open the tour in London, playing the O2 Arena on December 1st. Moving through Birmingham, Cardiff and more the vast arena dates show just how far the Canadian band have come.

A show in Manchester's Central venue takes place on December 11th with the tour finishing in Glasgow's SECC on December 12th.

Tickets for the December shows are due to go on sale from Friday (August 13th) at 9am.
